Why Kings

Capabilities most shops can't match.

What you'll find on our FAA Operations Specifications — the certs that decide what we're actually allowed to do.

Ratings

Part 145 Repair

Radio Classes 1–3 (Comm, Nav, Radar), Instrument Classes 1–4 (Mechanical, Electrical, Gyroscopic, Electronic), and Accessory Classes 2–3 — plus a limited Airframe rating. Few avionics-focused shops carry airframe authority.

Reach

Two fixed locations

Apple Valley and Hurricane (Hangar 47) are both authorized fixed locations on our OpSpecs.

Specialty

Non-Federal ATC tower work

Kings is one of a small number of facilities FAA-authorized to install, certify, and maintain non-Federal Air Traffic Control towers.

Records

Modern, audit-ready

Calibrated test equipment, electronic recordkeeping, and a current FAA-compliant drug & alcohol program for safety-sensitive personnel.

A rare capability

Non-Federal ATC Tower install & maintenance.

Kings Avionics is one of the few facilities in the country with the FAA certification required to install, certify, and maintain non-Federal air traffic control towers. If your airport operates a tower outside the federal program, we can keep it operational and compliant.
